Henryk Miskiewicz - a saxophonist, composer and arranger, and a three-time winner of Fryderyk - Polish music awards - for the album “Lyrics” (2002), as the Musician of the Year (2004) and Jazz Artist of the Year (2013). A legend of the Polish jazz scene, he has performed with the most acclaimed Polish jazz musicians, including Ewa Bem, Jan “Ptaszyn” Wroblewski, Andrzej Jagodzinski and Marek Napiorkowski. He has also collaborated with Joe Lovano, Paul Kuhn’s Orchestra and the WDR Symphony Orchestra from Cologne, as well as Pat Metheny and Mino Cinelu on Anna Maria Jopek’s project. Recently Henryk Miskiewicz has been performing with Michael Patches Stewart, an American trumpeter. He is a many time winner of the Jazz Top survey organized by the Jazz Forum magazine. He has received the most anticipated and prestigious Mateusz Award in Polish music business (given by Polish Radio 3) for his artistic achievements and a Jazz Oscar (awarded by the Association of Music Lover in Lodz). The unique sound of Miskiewicz’ saxophone can be heard on many Polish albums, music scores and tv recordings.
